Default 2000 1500 stereo/speakers

The other day my left side speakers went out, then a day or two later, the right sides went out. I pulled the head unit and there was not an issue and i also pulled one of the speakers and that still had a good connection. I looked at the fuses and all was good. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Please stop posting threads in the Dodge Ram general section. A 2000 Ram is a 2nd Gen, which is where I moved your first post and where this one belongs as well.

Please read this link this time and follow its instructions.

Do you have the infinity stereo system?

Not that I am aware of, it's just the basic one that come standard. There are no markings on the head unit or speakers. But I could be wrong.

Your headunit is probaly going bad, or you blew the speakers, i would recommend buying a nice aftermarket headunit and speakers.

If you have small speakers at the top of the front door panels, then you have the infinity system. That system has a separate amp that has probably gone bad, or a fuse has blown. If not, and your head unit is powering up, then the internal amp in it has blown. The easiest fix would be to just buy a new head unit and replace it like the last guy said. If all four speakers were working fine and then just all of a sudden stopped, then it is likely just to be the head unit and not the speakers.

I definitely do not have the infinity sound system, but could there still be a fuse I am overlooking? I went to a u-pull place a pulled the head unit out of another dodge and hooked it up and it still wasn't working. It could have been another bad head, but I will go down and pull another to be sure. I figured I would give that a shot rather than going and buying a new head unit and that not being the issue.

Any other ideas?
