That is basically an "RV" cam. You won't notice a whole lot of difference.

The stock springs are weak; an awesome combination is the HER0814AL cam, 1110 springs, 1278 retainers, and 1300 locks. This gives a slight lope at idle and an awesome power band.

I think most would agree it'd be a great idea to change stock springs even if you upgrade your cam an extra .25 lift lol. It seems theres not much love for the stock springs with people who have upgraded their cams or rocker arms even the smallest amount. I'm running a stock engine so I don't really have an opinion on the matter as my valves have never floated yet, I have to change my valve seals soon so I'll probably end up getting the 1.7 roller rockers so I'll deal with that then as well

Cam should have a description & recommendation for what it needs spring wise. It also depends on how many rpm's you're going to be running. I've heard people say they've done 6,000 Rpm on these stock magnum springs before floating, but I don't know their exact setup.

definitely go ahead and update the springs. They are not that expensive, especially for the peace of mind.

I already gave you a tried and true setup for exactly what you want. If you would like to spend more money on a Comp cam that's fine, but you won't find a better deal on the correct springs, retainers, and locks that are a direct drop in for Magnum heads.

for springs i can go to summit and they start at 35 for a set of springs(just dont know what to look for in size).I was looking at a tfs kit with the springs, locks and retainers for 125.
that cam u said will it give me good tire smoking low end with my 3.55 gears?and would it have a noticable idle(I like the old muscle car sound)
