........... they told me that an a/c system in a car or truck will aways have some weep age around the seal at the compressor....

56 degree air is pretty good. The delta T is what is important. How hot is the outside ambient air?

And always have some "weep age..." - I'm calling BS on that one.

Cycle switch? Never heard of such a thing. I'd be intereseted in "learning" what that is also. Maybe I'll look on schematic for AC system tomorrow and see if I can find it. There is a thermostat that lets you select how cold yoiu want it to be (in realtive terms) on the dash. Do not know where sensor is, but would think in airbox. Maybe that is what he is referring to as cycle switch....

You should not need to replace, It is doing what it shouldbe doing. When low on freon it is cycled off.

The temp at the vints on the 95 at 2000 rpm is with the cycle switch jumped. Without it jumped it will be however hot it is outside. My 11 has 31 degree at the vents same temp outside about 5 min apart.
The cycle switch is on the dryer up by the firewall. My shop Manuel showed two switches one high presser by the compressor and one cycle.

On the leaking the shop uses a machine that is all auto. They hook it up and the machine does it all. So if there is a leak it will not let them put in freon.

Switch on the receiver/dryer/accumulator (canister at the fire wall) is the low pressure switch.

If you really are low on pressure, it will destroy the compressor.

Well guys in my Chrysler 1995 shop Manuel (I bought from a closed down dealer) calls it a cycle switch so I dont really know what it is called. It is going to the a/c shop Friday so will let you all know what the problem is.

I just got back from the a/c shop. They recovered all freon Pulled a vac, checked for any leaks. Added 2 pounds of freon, oil and die. It is 85 outside and my air at the vents going up hill at 2000rpm was 25 Not to bad if you ask me.
