heres one, and my friends say im crazy for it til they ride in my truck, it seems to shift so much better with the more fuel i have in the truck? is it because of the added weight putting more stress on the tranny making it work harder or?

In all reality, the two shouldn't bear any relation at all to each other..... you got something strange going on there.

tell me about it lol its clearly noticeable it isnt a fluke thing, my buddy actually pointed it out one day. thank god the new tranny goes in soon anyways.
I know this sounds crazy and its really not too much of a problem, but I am really curious. When my fuel guge is on E my trans will not shift out of first gear, far as I know they are not related to each other, but 2 times before I figured out the connection I was going to take the truck to the shop and put gas in so they could drive it, the first time I thought it started working cause I'd changed the filter and fluid, didnt work when I drove up the street to the gas station, then started shifting on my way home. I didnt connect the two that time. Then it happeded again about 8 months later, was going to the transmission shop, stopped to get gas started shifting again. Its happened couple of times after that but I go fill up and it is OK. As I said its not a real problem, as I dont usally drive on empty, but every body I tell about this thinks I'm crazy, one should not effect the other and normally I would agree. Any one have this happen before.
I have the exact same problem with my 2000 dodge ram and everyone also thinks I'm crazy
