Oh myyy hahahaha!! Yes the mag timing cover will work. If you use the mag timing cover you have to use a cam for a mag setup. The shout is what's longer for the mech fuel pump on LAs. The mags have a shorter shout because it use electric fuel pump. But you can use a mag cam with a LA cover and mech pump if you use the extension Hughes sells.

Mag heads are on 1000s of LA blocks btw lol.

The only issue I see is the lifter retaining plate. But drilling an tapping would fix that. It's not a retarded project if it's all you got man. It's simple really.

Don't be afraid just do it an drive that thang!
