Reverse Slipping? (after heavy load)
The other day I cut up the oak trees we had laying around for fire wood, loaded it all in the truck. I'd guess around 600lbs+, but it could have been quite a bit more. The rear was pretty low, almost on the tires...
I backed the truck up the little hill that is our driveway and noticed squeak that sounded like it was coming from the rear end, truck kept backing up so I didn't think much of it.
Today while backing up a little incline in a paved parking lot I heard the same squeak and she was a little hesitant to back up.
So I decided to take a video and see what ya'll think, I couldn't get the squeak to pop up for the camera but I think the engine tells the story, and I can definitely feel slippage in reverse. All Drive gears are working fine...
In that video I'm backing up a hill and the engine is revving very high while apply the throttle down in reverse.
I think I fried reverse backing up that hill with the load. I had no issues until that moment.
I haven't yet dropped the pan to see if there's anything interesting in it yet.
This is a video on flat ground, I took the video while the women was backing up, I didn't believe she was in reverse because of the heavy amount of engine revving.... The slippage explains that........
