Thanks guys. I will eventually hook up the stock tach, it looks like a $100 sensor that can make almost any gauge work.

It will look funny never going over 3k rpm

So I put around 10 miles on tonight on some back roads. Couldn't get the coolant over 140F even after idling for 15 minutes, a full throttle run to 55 (no OD hooked up yet), burnout in the dirt, and driving around the farm for another 15 minutes.
Tranny came up to about 130f after the same conditions...
It's not going to win any drag races but it feels pretty torquey when it snorts down low

Heat blows warm, but still needs a tee off the vacuum to run the havc motor. Right now the vacuum pump is only working on the brakes, which also work great. I was worried after I torched the line doing the motor mounts and had to splice it with compression fittings

I realized today I haven't had the alternator wired up correctly, so I will have a solution with pics to come shortly

Loving the truck so far.

Looks/sounds awesome. This is one swap that I would kill for. Hows the power overall compare with the 5.9 the came out?

And mine is probably going to ring up close to 5k... About 1k over budget but I was looking at 2k for a rebuilt 360 and I had no idea what condition the 46re was in either(probably last leg lol)

Way worth it now that it's done. It'd be cool to see more rams with the swap out there...

Definitely slower with the stock VE pump settings. With a little tuning it shouldn't be a huge difference vs. the worn out 360. Once I am completely done I can try and run a 0-60 with a cam on the speedo

That would be interesting to see. The idea of having a motor that will run on almost anything (6bt's as well) is very intriguing to me, considering the direction the world is headed.

they already had engines that ran on pretty much anything but they never seemed to catch on
