^^Very cool! Never read about that before. Chrysler has always been at the forefront of innovation.

yes it is
The engine would run on vertually anything with combustible properties and the President of Mexico tested this theory by running one of the first cars—successfully—on tequila. No air/fuel adjustments were required to switch from one fuel type to another and the only evidence of which fuel was used was the odor of the exhaust.

So I practically did the "DIY external regulator" step by step for my alternator... After not getting a good ground on my regulator case- wow that pissed me off.

Regulator/alternator jumped right to 17.5v and boiled my battery over in the time that I could hit the key and walk around the door... I jumped back and hit my fuel switch, well see if it was too late for it or not. I lost a few fluid ounces, I caught it with a towel before it dripped on my power steering hoses. I re grounded the regulator and it appears to be working now....

I have been a walking human error throughout the whole swap

that sucks but it teaches me how important it is to get that voltage regulator a good ground if i ever have to change mine.

now if it makes you feel better i drove around with the positive wire from my alternator disconnected from the battery and touching a piece of metal that was grounded. by the time i realized it the wire was fairly hot but no damage done.

I only charge $75 an hour for consulting work...maybe I should consider charging more!

Moochoff, good work. It is always the little things finishing up on a project that seem to create the most frustration. You will get it all correct!
