Exactly.

Did you send them your old one back yet? Scanner may or may not tell the tale.... sure won't hurt to have one though.

Question

No Sir I still have it reason being there may or may not be anything wrong with it.

Also on the packing slip the included the shipping into the cost, therefore, i ended paaying import taxes on both the cost & shipping, and thats not cheap.

There wasn't a core charge on the bill either. So if my friend finds something other that the PCM is at fault and fixes it then I will put the old one back on and see if it still works.

HeyYou, plus the rest on here with special thanks to Merc225 who has P.M. me many times

Partially good news my buddy just left to get some update data on this Ram of mine. The book he brought over was for a Caravan, and different wiring schematics all together.

He did have it running about 3 times each for about 1 minute intervals, then it would shut down. He pulled off the connector to the TBS turned it over and it started right up as it used to. I now thought he located the problem. Nut he said some thing is either getting to much voltage then is series is shutting down another sensor.

I asked him if he wanted me to get some parts and his answer was no, not until he locates the culprit that is causing the trouble.

He is comming back this afternoon with proper data and wiring schematic then go from there, so will keep you guys updated on further progress. Hope I'm not jumping the gun here, but things are starting to look good.

Thanks for the info on the wire diagram, wii definitly take a look at them.

Update, think he found the problem it wasn't the TBS, but the MAP sensor that he unpluged. When he done this started up but wouldn't stay running, so he had me hold the throttle on fast idle under hood, and it stayed running until he plugged it back in, then it quit.

So the MAP is bad getting a new one and will either get it on tonight or in the morning, will keep you posted.

This guy teaches automotive electrical seems to know exactly where to go looking. So keeping my fingers crossed that a new MAP will fix the proble.

Back up & running, problem #1 MAP this was the easy part. Problem #2 basically what caused all this in the first place was a (CORODED WIRE) up against the firewall in that huge maze of wires.

My Buddy pulled it all out after checking all the possible sensors and the connectivity readings to all, which included the Crank Sensor, Cam Sensor, TBS, and the list goes on.

He was getting bad feedbacks from some that were supposed to be getting feed from a circut that was not functioning. So he went to work and pulled all the wire harness away from the cowl, never thought I would see this truck run again. found a corroded wire that hooked into about 5-7 others, just touched it and it came apart.

So out came the soldering iron stripped the wires clean rejoined them tucked everything back nice & neat. Then hooked up all the Sensors that were unplugged put the new MAP on jumped in the cab turned it over and well its running as it did before excellent.

So really didn't need this rebuilt PCM, but its on there anyway, plus all the other items that I didn't need. Man I can tell you this guy from watching him with all his electronic scanners, ohm meter, and analizer he is a pro.

So once again thanks to all who gave me advice here on the Forum, it wasn't in haste and I really sure do appreciate it in more ways than you think.

Thank you all each and everone, Ole Goat

Thats exactly the same question I would like the answer to.

The Tow Ytuck driver told me that he has towed quite a few cars/trucks out of there and the oweners were reall p!!!#%ed off.

So this guy cost me a lot of unnewcessary expenditure, for a guessing game.

Fact is I don't even know if he looked at the Truck. Didn't get a bill from him never signed a work order, so for sure he is not getting paid.

Mark, thanks for all your research on this I sure do appreciate it.

I hear you I don't like doing that but his suggestions was going to cost me more than double of what I already had in it.

This was just a bad dream of a guy that took me for a sucker and personally I don't have respect for this type.

you know what really tick me off is he was or supposed to be the Guru of wiring & trouble shooting problems, well he sure did show his colours.

This is one who will never recomend him to anyone.

Anyway its just a nightmare that when I cool off will hopefully go away.
