The starter has to come out first to get the inspection plate off. More of a PITA, but you can see the flexplate/flywheel much better. Some how, I don't think that's the problem though.

What about using a nine volt battery on the sensor on the bench?

Thumbs up

Hey guys I think your hiting on some thing here. Back to the wiring shop the guy there mentioned some thing about taping a magnet in that area, would get a response.

So with the help of you guys that have been through this maybe you have got an answer to this issue.

Man that sure would be great, and if it can be put into something that hasn't been done, like replacing it with factory sensor or what ever I'll pass it on.

Hell maybe these guys that are working on it will learn some thing. Not saying their ignorant to the fact but hey you learn some thing every day, or in my books its a wasted one.

Sure appreciate all the input & i hate bothering you guys on this topic. Believe me when I say it I do mean thank you.

Did you get it fixed? Dont keep us on pins and needles, what was the cure? The real reason I hang out here is to learn all the things that will go wrong with my ram and how to fix them.

I'm puting updates as they become available. Just got off the phone with the wiring wizard and he says the computer. Being the weekend and its at his shop I'm held up until next week now.
I sure a hell will post the outcome when it becomes known for sure. I'm also on here to locate all info I can, and the guys here have been a big help.
One thing though I'm not going through the process of elimination as far as parts go until we isolate the area that is the culprit.

About a year ago,I applied 5v and tested with scope to confirm signal. 9V may fry it. You can check wiring diagram to see correct voltage, but 5v is what I recall.

Unhappy Dead Ram

Received my rebuilt PCM in the mail today, took it down to where my Truck is, removed the old PCM and installed the rebuilt one.

Result same as it was, still a no go. I'm starting to run short on patience on this one, & am begining to feel like I'm feeding a dead horse.

The wire wizard told me that if it wasn't the PCM, it would be the Relector.

As admit I am at a total loss, and haven't a clue with all this electronic B/S.

So onto plan "B" I am seriously thinking of parting this Truck out, as this guessing game can't keep going on, with new parts and the process of elimination.

The rebuilt PCM was programed to my V.I.N. along with the necessary information such as 5.2, Auto, 2 WD.

In the ending my old PCM was not the culprit and I still have it.

Question

Hey You

Don't quite get what you mean by whats missing with the new PCM?

I just got off the phone with a guy I know who works on these and teaches this electrical tech. Anyway I have to get my Truck towed home and he will come over with his latest updated scanner and check all as if it never ran in the first place.

In other words start from scratch and go from there.

I must sound like some kind of nut case to you guys, but I haven't a clue when it comes to this electrical B/S.

Give me a vehicle from the 1940s & 50s and I'm okay with those. So I apologize for not understanding these newer Trucks, even though this is a 94 its still a new one to me.
