Default 2000 ram turn signal ?

when I turn my turn signals on they blink maybe 6 times then they stop and I have to turn it off and turn it on again, and also if I have my wipers on and turn them off, they dont return to the down position , they stop wherever they are are when I shut them off, could this be the switch or are the turn signals and wipers on the same relay ?

Two separate issues.

For the turn signals, make sure all your bulbs are working, if they are, replace the flasher unit in the fuse block in the drivers side of the dash.

Wipers not parking: Probably bad logic board on the motor.... Don't think you can replace just the board though, prolly have to replace the whole motor. Check pricing, see if it's worth it to you. If not, just turn your wipers off when they are all the way down.....

ok thank you, I dont have an owners manual so do you know which one is the flasher? I just thought maybe the switch because the signals and wipers were both on it. Is there a diagram here that tells me what fuse goes where?

Should be a legend on the inside of the cover for the fuse block.

You can also grab the Factory service manual from the Service Manual thread in the 2nd Gen Faq/DIY section.

The flasher is the blue square thing inside the fuse box next to the dash. But I agree, the multi function switch may be bad, but check the plug on the back of it, and the wires running from it down the steering column for damage. For the heck of it, also remove the headlight switch and check the back of it also.

Ill try a new flasher in the panel first, if the switch was bad they wouldntcome on would they? They start working right then stop blinking, I tried turning the steering wheel while they were on and it didnt change anything, whats the reason for checking the wires on the back of the head light switch?

Because the wires on the back of switch like to melt and unleash little gremlins in the electrical system.....
