You need to do what I already stated. The gov solenoid is fine, but you should get one of these anyway. http://www.doghousediesel.com/catalog/i307.html

The transducer(pressure switch) needs to be replaced along with that bracket because you cant mount it to the gov body AND the new (correct for your year) TCC/OD solenoid assembly will not plug into the 97 transducer.

SO when I put the new parts in the plugs will be the same right?

Dude, you need all the parts for a 2000 simple as that. I don't know what to say that I have not already said.
