Need help with part compatibility
I have a 1994 Dodge Ram 1500 5.9L gas engine. A buddy of mine is stripping down a 1994 Jeep with a 5.9L engine and he has a cold air intake in it. If I pull the CAI off the jeep will it fit and work on the dodge? They have the same size and model engine and same year, any help?
100% sure, but same thing with Dakota and durango, if they have a cold air intake kit on one of them whether it be jeep, Dakota or durango and its the same model and size engine will be be compatible?

Then it should fit on the TB. But wheather or not it fits in your engine bay is a different story. It depends on the type/style of CAI it is...You need to find out which brand/model it is and google it for cross ref..or post it here and someone will let you know...most likely it will 'fit' but you truck is designed to take air in from the side well and if your not utilizing that air zone you'll be just sucking in the hot air from within the bay...
Either that 5.9 is swapped in, or your buddy has mistaken his 5.2 for a 5.9. 5.9 ZJ's were '98 only.
Either way, the worthless cold air intake will fit your throttle body, but might not mount correctly on the filter end. Why don't you just go try to test fit it?

I was mistaken is was not a 5.9 he put the sticker on the engine bay and it looks almost the same. But the air intake moves off to the right and in my ram the air system moves to the left so I guess its wont work. Another question will a CAI system from a Dakota or durango work? They move to the left like the RAM with the same engine. But the Dakota is a 1997.
Like this one,
Its identical to the one for a 1500 Dodge ram 1500 5.9 but says it wont fit.
