Mine has the update software barcode on PCM.Straight from the dealer. So they were doing it in 1999 from the factory. Recently got my truck running smoother... had a plug wire running next to injector7 and 8. And switched to NGK plugs for the first time. Was like night and day in performance, especially off idle jumpiness. Seems to easy.

Do keep us posted if you make any head way onthis man..

I'm going through a life changing event.. but once it's done it will free up alot of extra cash per month.. so being this is our companies busy season I do not have the time work on my truck.. I'm thinking about taking it to a friend and paying him (Cert. Mech) to replace the motor mounts; and rebuild the top end..

Hey Jon,
My propeller shaft is a one pc shaft..I changed both cross joints and no positive results..I've changed tires, also with no positive results..that would leave 'rear axle pitch line runout' But that would be last on my list of possibilities. Reason being is my CEL is still on and the code is P0308 (# 8 mis) and we all know what the mis will cause. (not saying 100%) that's the problem but it's near the top of the list. As I've said in the past if I turn the OD off that results in a higher RPM from through 35-55 mph range which also increases the hydraulic pressure.
We'll see, I have most of the parts but still need a new cyl head, EM studs, HB remover and a few other little things such as the loot to get um..
