Default which o/d solenoid?

ok, so i need to get a new O/D solenoid for my tranny. i was looking on PATC's website, and they have two for 1995 back 518's. one is a 2-prong, one is a 3-prong. any idea which one i'd need? preferably without pulling the pan and looking, since this is my only vehicle at the moment and need to be able to drive it lol

Just disconnect the harness plug that goes to it on the outside of the trans and see if its 2 or 3 pin.

I think that connector has about 8 pins as it connects to OD, TC, Gove sens and Gov sol. At least on a 99...

OP...call PATC and ask them. Give them details on truck - they will know.
OR...cehck www.wiittrans.com and see what their website shows. I have bought quite a bit of stuff from them and their customer service is excellent.

I wondered about that as soon as I posted (but was too lazy to check...kind of a lazy rainy Saturday...)

A two terminal is for a 'w/o' lock up converter and three terminal is for a converter with lock up..

ok, so i checked the plug for my transmission...its a three prong connecter. lol was kinda hoping that by chance maybe it would start working again, that maybe it was just a crappy connections. it was no good lol i mean, the yellow light wont even come on (it never has anyway). so i guess i'll just swap that sensor and see what happens! yay!
