Default new air intake/new noise

hey everybody, just installed a new air intake on my 01 ram sport 5.9, took it for a drive and i have a loud whistling noise when i take off fast or so, if i have it in neutral and rev the engine it does not do it, almost sounds like a diesel engine when they step on the on it, hopefully it just the increased air flow, and the fact that i removed my under hood insulation that was falling down. any advise would be great thanks

^^^ that plus make sure the gasket is in place inbetween the throttle body and the intake and that the intake is fully seated.

Thanks for the replies, the intake was a knock off one off ebay, suppose to be an aem replica, but instead of the cheap filter they sent i had a k&n filter the same size

If its seated and sealed properly, it may be something youll have to live with if you want it on there. I put a 14x3 on a few weeks ago, even knowing about the noises, but took it off last week. The sucking sound at throttle didnt bother me. The whistling did and got annoying quick.

Mine had a whistling noise when i was giving it throttle when i first bought the truck...turns out there was no gasket between the air box and TB....added one in there and sounds great now. you may want to check that.

On my 99 I removed all the stock air cleaner stuff and installed an open 9 inch round filter directly atop the Throttle Body and I got some noise but nothing that really bothered me. When I bought the truck I discovered the whistling noise was the gap between the air box and throttle body because the gasket was missing.
