I don't really want to take off the muffler since i just bought it. It has a nice rumble to it but when I'm driving i can barely hear it.

cat gutting will just make it have that popping sound on deceleration which sounds like crap...

I used to try and make my gas V8's loud as I could...now a days I want em as silent as possible...easier to be stealthy

my old 86 GMC sierra classic was crazy quiet. walk more than 10ft away from it and you couldn't hear it running. thing was dead silent. inside the truck you almost couldn't hear it running.. lil 350 had plenty of power though..

my dodge on the other hand sounds like a semi lol. but exhaust even though its straight pipe, is reasonable..compound twins do quiet down the exhaust quite a bit. and diesels don't make that popping sound on deceleration with straight pipe because they don't inject any fuel at all till they reach idle speeds again unless the throttle is pressed down.
Yeah, unfortunately i need to pass emissions so i can't do alot of stuff you guys do to make it louder.

About the loudest your going to get and remain emissions legal is to run straight pipes with no muffler. Around here, I can't do that. There has to be a muffler installed. Check your laws. Headers and high flow cats won't make it that much louder, just sound different.

If you want a nice loud exhaust you can hear, go true duel's, high flow cats, and a nice magnaflow muffler.

Loud hmmm.... Round here flows and cats aint considered loud lol. True dual staight pipes from the headers with no cats and large bore tips is loud. Too bad bout the emissions tho lol. No mullet btw haha. I doubt youd like it when the troopers come by though.
