Default Front wheel beerings

hey guys! i havent been on in a while. got my transmision rebuilt about three to 4 months ago. havent really driven my truck in the last three months though. long story, that ill leave out for now because this is the tech section. I need to replace the wheel bearings in my passenger side. ive searched on here didnt really find a write up or anything.
so ill ask...
do i have to repace the whole hub or can i do just the bearings?
do these have to be pressed in?
i cant seem to find my haynes. any help that anybody could offer would be greatly appreciated.
i get to start driving my truck again in two weeks, i cant wait!!!

Your truck is a 4x4 correct? All 4x4s have unit hub assemblies meaning the bearing is a part of hub. So no replacing bearings...

Hub and bearings are usually one unit that get replaced together on the 4wd models... When I priced them out they were around $200/ea, and I can't remember whether there was a core charge or not, probably was.

Similar procedure here>>> https://dodgeforum.com/forum/dodge-c...placement.html

But stop after removing the hub.
There are more posts on this I'm sure, but this is just one of my favorites.

Try using quotes around your search term "replace hub bearing"

And as others said 4x4 is hub/ bearing unit. ABS front is $$$$$$ but I doubt you have fronts in a 98

Are they? I didn't know that... I thought 2wd were separate... Or maybe some aftermarket ones are.
