Default Using Old Fuel Rail W/ New Injectors

Hello Everyone

I am swapping out my tired 5.2 with a new long block. I am also going to purchase new OEM injectors but since money is an issue, I can't afford a new fuel rail. Does anyone have experience with an old fuel rail such as cleaning, swapping, etc.

Thanks!

how much did the oem injectors cost? i read bosch 4 hole injectors are better than oem. i don't see why you can not re use the old fuel rail as long as you don't break it.

Thoroughly clean the fuel rail and install new o-rings.

Unless it's been sitting for a long time it should be fairly clean.

If it's nasty just use either 1) gasoline or 2) a de-greasing agent like PurplePower or something...

Shouldn't take much.

With the fuel rail off and the injectors out, turn it upside down and get it as level as possible then fill it thru one of the injector holes with Seafoam. Let sit for and hour or so then dump out the Seafoam.

Great advise guys. Another fuel injection question, though. I've searched for injectors for my truck and found that Advanced Auto has a BWD injector for $52.99 and JC Whitney has an injector for $23.10 made by Replacement.
The discrepancy in price makes me think "you get what you pay for". Any opinions on my choices?

Thanks!

I've been running them in my '01 RT for well over 5 years now and will never go back to the stock Dodge injectors.

Someone on the forum mentioned using ford injectors for direct replacement. I don't remember what the upside was though.
