I have a buddy who can get me the energy suspension hyperflex master kit for 120 or something called prothane total for 70..its one of those he knows a guy who. knows a guy deal,I think I have it narrowed down to the front drivers side fosure
I jacked it up&tryd getting the the wheels for play&had none,I pulled that tie rod end off awhile back&it seems ok&the track bar has only been in 2weeks,it moves a tiny bit the bushing that is so little its hardly noticeable. I'm thinking maybe the lower control arm is bent or the bushing is shot, reason I'm thinking that is when I did my leveling kit my buddy jacked up the truck&used the lower control arm shackle as his jack point,I didn't know that till today when he went to try it again&I told him not to&he said that's where he did it last time but it fell off the jack!I couldn't believe it but atleast he told me.Well it didn't look bent but I have no idea how to check em besides a visual.
Makes sense seeing that's the area that feels outta whack. All of my bushings are greasaable rubber some are worn some are fine. Not 100% on rubber or poly I've read poly last longer&handles better but make for a harder ride,as rubber absorbs bumps better but wear quicker. What do you think? So steering box will be ordered in morning, once I do Ill check pitman arm&draglink if appear ok&steering is tight Ill rule that out &add new bushings just need to decide on which ones&if still issues either new control arms if I do that Ill just lift it a bit more then if I go to sell it Ill maybe get a little more out of her.

1st I'd bet $$ the control arms bushings are past due..the pitman and idler arms shouldnt have any play, if not they're good, you should also check the sway bar end links. They shouldn't have play either. Now with that said mine didn't but I wanted to put the ES bushings on and when I took them off it turned out they were bad. i think it's bs when it comes to 'feel' between the two. Do what you gonna do, you know what my choice is for my truck..

Got my steering box yesterday, put it on today the tie rod that goes from the drag link to the pitman arm seemed worn..picture laying on your back looking up @ if you push it towards the be then back towards the front it feels like it should..like its in a joint, but if you go left to right its loose just moves freely...so I'm sure it need replaced. of course the part store didn't have any. so I'm going to order 1 and new steering stabilizer..but the shaking is gone&steering is tight.Figure Id tell you guys seeing a lot of guys never reply back with the fix&what it was.

Like I said don't forget to index the pitman before removal just in case. And thanks, I usually ask "please post results" Some people show up looking for their answer(s) get them and then just bounce, which doesn't help others who actually take the time to read through threads to get their answer(s).

&yeah I use to do that but now I try to post back with the results as I've found many threads with guys who have had similar issues on things I was trying to fix&have read through 6 pages to think I'm gonna find the solution &then nothing!

There is a adjusting sleeve on the drag-link arm that you can use to adjust your steering wheel.
