Default found something in my tranny pan

I changed out my tranny filter on my 99 ram 1500 5.9 and there was something in the pan. Its and inch long wigde shaped. With a V cut into the top has a cupped slot/hole. Any ideas?

Ohh man.. Could be really hard to tell... The pic isnt really large... Put it in photobucket or dropbox (both are free) and post a link here of the full size image, otherwise no one can really tell.

Yep, looks exactly like it.. These trannys have that happen often when the front band doesn't get adjusted like it should. The band gets loose and eventually the anchor comes off. Easy fix.

Funny - same thing for me this afternoon. Posted some photos:

Also found this info:

Now, my question is, how do I remove the the gearshift and throttle levers from the valve body manual lever shaft?

Should my thread be moved to this one? <<https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen-ram-tech/362829-found-this-in-my-tranny-pan.html>>

So, did you have any shifting problems?

Here's a link to a post that could help:
