Default Will 46re from Jeep work for my Ram?

My trans is out in my 97 Ram 4x4.
I found another 46re but it's from a 98 grand Cherokee 5.9.

Will it be the same as a ram 46re or different? I already got one wrong trans, owner gave me a 46rh and it won't work. Hoping to get something thatll work!

I've tried looking it up and got conflicting answers, just trying to find somebody that knows for sure, thanks !

Trans wise a 46re. I put in the one that was given and the plugs are different and the overdrive unit is too long making the driveshaft not fit

RE and RH are not interchangeable. Controlled differently.

For best result and to assure proper fit, need to match years, 2wd or 4wd, etc. and engine size if possible (for flex plate issue).
