Well I got a buddy of mine that owns a shop and does good work. When I mentioned the timing belt he told me to go all gears and no belt and while I am at it swap the cams as well. He offered the put in performance cans, new timing gears, M1 performance intake manifold, 1.7 HS roller rockers and a performance distributor cap for $500 only (I provide the parts). Pair that along with a CAI and 52mm Throttle body already in it I would assume all that would be almost a 100hp jump and close to the same with torque am I right?
Well if your going all out like that, you should include a throttle body spacer, in conjunction with the air foil, and one of those magnet fuel rail optimizer things.
explain exactly what you mean by tune? You mean a chip or performance PCM?
Yep. or, the other alternative would be just changing over to a standalone system, that you can program yourself with a laptop. Expensive, but, might end up being cheaper in the end.... especially if you end up having to send out your old 94 pcm to be reprogrammed multiple times to get it right, at 250 a pop.......

Performance cans? You mean cam?
I had 1.7s and an M1, with 7PSI of boost on top of that to get a 120hp increase.
Without worked over heads, a decent cam, and a method of tuning, keep dreaming.
What is in these engines that cause the yield to be so low? Most of the parts like cams rockers and the M1 each quote a 20hp gain minimum so when all added I will only see 30? How is that?
