Default Spicer u joint part#, FAQ pdf not found

The Dana spicer pdf (google doc's link) in the FAQ's is giving me a "file not found" Want to order up some new u joints for my 99 ram 1500 sport 4x4...assuming spicer is the way to go without dropping a fortune on something like ctm's

..anyway im going bonkers trying to confirm a proper part number...

..shamefully i found this from another forum while doing a google search..
"Dodge does not use the Spicer 5-760x or 297 in the DRIVESHAFT. Dodge uses Detroit style 7260 or 7290 ujoints (not Spicer style 1310, 1330, 1350, ect...) in it the driveshafts. The Spicer p/n for the 7260 is either 5-1306-1x or 5-1306x, and the (larger) 7290 is Spicer p/n 5-1309x."

Some help here in confirming the proper part number would be greatly appreciated.

You don't need spicers anyway. Get some Precision u joints at a local parts store. Which shaft are you doing btw?

Let me elaborate, the truck is new to me and ive been going through it, I'll be setting out on a 3000 mile journey with it shortly and i can see the joints have not been replaced in ages so it will make me feel more comfortable having new ones.

I suggest you take the front DS to a DS shop and let them rebuild the cardan joint. If you really want to do it yourself, get the parts from quad4x4.com you can get a video from them also. The rear is easy and the axle shafts are not too bad. But the cardan joint needs to be right.

No. Because I use Precision brand. And they are greasable . The spicers might not be.
