Default 1996 dodge ram 5.9 magnum Iac or map issues?

Well hello all, im new to this form as i just recently purchased a dodge ram 5.9 magnum indy 500 clone. . ok so i was reading about the plenum problem , found out my truck had this issue and i ended up buying a m1 intake and installing it with new bolts gaskets, a oem dodge pvc valve and grommet, i also did a full tune up along with the intake swap, champion plugs , 8mm summit racing wires, cap, rotor, oil change, anyways long story short, i reset the trucks battery and everything seemed to be ok but lately its been starting really quick and idle is at a very low rpm below 600 , it fluctuates runs different everytime i drive it, one time low idle and other higher around 1100,i was curious if it could be my map or iac, i cleaned my throttle body before placing it on my m1 intake so im un sure if i ruined sensors on the throttle body or not, i did a check engine light test and got 5 flashs pause 5 flashes, so im guessing theres no CEL. any suggestions on what this could be? also when it idles really low my volts go to the middle gauge and sometimes even lower.

If you cleaned the IAC too roughly that could do it. When cleaning the IAC you're not to push or pull the dowel or turn it in anyway. It breaks it. lol

Thanks for your reply!
Well I left all the parts intact to the throttle body, just light spray and wipe. could that be my headache at this point?

Yeah, when cleaning the TB it is recommended to pull the IAC, clean it pretty good and clean the cavity it fits in.

You should be able to clean it. Just take it out, hit it really hard with TB cleaner (I use CRC Throttlebody and Air Intake Cleaner, works good) and then a steel brush very lightly. Should get most of it off, if not polish the darn thing. As long as you didn't move the dowel any you should be good. Just make sure you do the same thing to the passage in the TB where it mounts.

TPS and MAP's are kinda hard to screw up, they usually go when they want to.

IIRC the numbers he asks for on the PCM are the P/N on the PCM.

As far as the VIN for the Indy, just use the VIN on the door or dash plate. IIRC the Indy was pretty much a special paint package. I may be wrong on that. The engine is the same as a regular Ram.
