Default 727 to 318 magnum

Will a 727 bolt up to a 98 318 magnum?

I think ONE of the things that is needed is a PCM from a manual 318

Are you installing a 98 Magnum into your 92?

Nope actually going into a few pro modified derby cars ( I normally run sbf because I'm a ford guy but dodges are cheap so they have been finding their way into my shop... more to the point new rules engines have to match brand of the car, so I have a magnum from one of my trucks id like to play with since I can't use my 337 anymore.. engine and harness will be stripped to bare minimum. As long as it will bolt up and run without blowing apart on me its good.

if you are keeping the 318 fuel injected you will have to cut a hole in the bell housing for the crank position sensor but that is about it. it should bolt in. i think you should even be able to use the kick down cable from the magnum setup on the 727. only thing about using the 727 is you would need a longer drive shaft since the 727 is shorter than the overdrive transmission used in all the newer trucks.
from about 4 minutes on show the difference.

I have a bolt on slider shaft it extends to any length I need but thanks, any issues I might have with flywheel/converter balance or bolting up?

I don't have the engine out yet to find out myself

318 is internally balanced. Just get the right converter for your application, and you should be fine.

you should not have any problems with the torque converter. the guy in the video had a 727 from a 360 and he just knocked the weight off. the guy even got it running and driving.
