That number comes back as a 46RE, and it won't work, nor can you make it work. Rebuild what ya got, buy an RH online, or find one in a 95 or older vehicle.

I don't guess no other Transmission will work in place of the 46rh? I'm thinking of changing the intake manifold and bypass the computer. I guess then any hydrophilic will work..? Any input you can tell me will help. I'm on a budget, Getting one online is out of the question at this time. Especially over priced ones I've seen. I don't guess there's a way to wire in a relay and make the RE work, kind of like a hack? Thanks for responding so quick. I didn't think I would hear from you for months.lol

No, the RE trans is completely electronically controlled. Without the PCM, you would have a manual without a clutch, and no TCC, or O/D. If you are limited on funds, you have two options. You can rebuild it yourself for a few hundred bucks, but, that requires a place to work on it, and some basic tools. There are plenty of resources online to walk you thru it, and several members here have rebuilt their own, without ever having been inside one before. So, it IS doable. Other option would be to find a junkyard trans.... but, as the last one rolled off the line in the 95 model year..... they may be fun to find.

Hi, I’m trying to identify a Dodge Ram trans with the following ID number:
RK521191613520 (can’t read the separate 4 digits after)
the ID might be
RK521191612320 or -2520 (sorry, I only have a picture that was sent to me and it’s really faint/unclear.

Those numbers don't come back as anything at all. Can you upload the pic?

Here's the only image I have (sent to me, and the guy is ~2 hours away) - I have tried blowing it up to 200% & 400% but it's still super hard to make out the numbers...

By the way, what are you using to look them up? Just curious, seems like an awesome resource...

I can see a "1" there, and nothing else.

I just google the number. If it is a valid part number, you will get quite a few results. If it isn't, you get none, or really strange ones, that have nothing to do with transmissions.

Ok, I went back and looked at some other posts and saw that folks had the first two letters of PK (I thought I was seeing RK) - so I googled PK52119161 (I'm pretty sure about all those numbers from enlarging the pic) and got 2 hits...
One of them was on mmerlinn.com, and lists the following:
LU, Rwd V8-52
Case = 064, Yellow plug, 15/16" hole, 3 threaded bosses, Screw-in NSS
Tail = 17905, Speedo, No sensor, 3 threaded bosses, 2 blank bosses
Top valve body = 4617003
Center valve body = 52117848
Bottom valve body = 52118357
Cheese plate = 96
Pump body = 4505033
2.5 lever
Overdrive tag =

The other one comes back as: https://bestremantransmissions.com/d...0304ddg6o.html

Given there's no speed sensor in either, and the second one calls out the white 3-pin connector, I think safe to assume 46RH.

Thanks for the idea of just googling the number! I thought for sure you were hitting some parts interchange database.

Leave off the PK, and search on just the numbers, and I get numerous hits on a 46RH trans.
