Default squeak/chirping odd info help

When I accelerate from 0mph I hear a squeak that sounds odd...its like bird chirping..it gets faster as i accelerate. It only happens when im in drive. My truck runs fine other than the noise. Does the sound mean something is going bad? Fan? Any info would help please.

Check your belt and tensioner. What you might to is take a wrench and just move the tensioner pulley back and forth a bit, try to get it to unstick itself if it's stuck.

Check your belt tensioner like I said. Make sure your belt isn't glazed over either.
After you do that, you can move onto pulleys and crap.

I've had chirping noise from idler pulley and also from a water pump going out. And from the tensioner pulley. When my first water pump went bad it would chirp for couple blocks then go away.

i say u-joints.

front axle u-joints turn all the time, even in 2wd.
rear drive shaft u-joints turn all the time.
front drive shaft u-joints turn when in 4wd.

I removed both the idler pulley and tensioner pulley and shot some wd40 into them.. It seems to have solved the chirping. But both didnt spin smooth, so I might replace both. Looks like a $25 each to replace.

thanks

Don't just replace the pulley on the tensioner, replace the whole thing.
