Default truck stalling...little help please?

Howdy All! My buddy has a 97 (11-96) Ram 1500 (gasser) 4X4 with 102K on it. It stalls when he slows down (lets off the gas) at lights or going in to turns....I really dont have much more than that....Any body know where we can start to look?
Thanks!

EDIT: The vehicle starts right back up with no problems (starting)
ANOTHER EDIT: It seems like when it goes from acceleration to idle it "over shoots" the idle and idles so low it shuts off.

Clean the throttle body. I do believe there is a DIY in the faq section detailing the process. Probably the IAC bore is gunked up, or, the IAC has just failed altogether.

IAC= Idle Air Control. It's a stepper motor that mounts to the back of the throttle body. It regulates air bypassing the throttle plates to maintain idle speed. Your friends apparently is working as advertised.

Throttle body cleaning DIY. Cleverly concealed in the "old diy links" thread....

Update. I cleaned the IAC. I noticed the air cleaner gasket was broken so my buddy is running up to get one now. As a side note WHATS UP WITH THE AIR CLEANER SYSTEM!? What a PITA! Am I doing something wrong or what? LOL!

No its almost a 2 man operation until you figure it out. Its easiest to remove the whole cleaner than it is to pull it apart. Dido on iac and battery.
