4.56 will put your engine RPM back to where they were with the stock tires/ratios. 4.88 will bump it up about 200 RPM at 60mph.... if 99% of your driving is 55 or less, I would go with the 4.88's, and enjoy the additional torque you would get.

How many miles on your trans? That might be another area to look at.

if you want lift and big tires, then +1 that gears are your best (and most expensive) mod. do the calculations to decide what rpm you want to run at 55 and 70 or whatever.
He is already running 35's....and 5" lift.

Tranny (Mega Viper) and Gears would be best bet, but the money you mentioned will do one or the other. Gears will help save tranny and improve efficiency. And you can get 4.88 for that 9.25 diff. There are several threads here on gearing. I have not done this so I don't know what all is needed for this.

No risk...just turning about 2400 rpm instead of 2100-2200 at 70 mph.

The 4.88's would fit the bill just right, I love mine. You don't need a carrier for the front, just get a thick cut gear. They're the same price and saves you some coin for the hookers and blow lol.
