I know a couple places that specialize in dodge diesels so I will have no problem nabbing a tranny, tcase, axle, and cummins.

So one quick question HY, Are you sure it is 8600 pounds?

So after you answer that can you close this thread HeyYou?

Am I sure? Nope. Just information I dug up on the web. To make SURE.... call the dealership and have a chat.

The thread redneck posted doesn't seem to have the one-tons listed in it... but, the numbers for the 3/4 ton are MUCH higher, which is about what I expected.

Because they have heavier duty axles and suspension. And Engine/trannys aside from the V8's. He's talking about in relation to 1/2 tons.

All one tons were dual rear wheel. They can support more weight.

I don't trust every resource I find on the web.... and then there is always user error...... The number posted in the thread linked above seem more reasonable to me than what I found.....

yep all one tons are dually. I read somewhere that dodge used to make srw 1 tons, but eventually replaced them with the 3/4HD and made all 1 tons DRW after that. Is that true?

^^ Yes. But there were always HD 3/4 tons. Then with the 3rd gen they brought back the SRW 1 tons.

The first gens I think you could get SRW one tons. I don't think they ever made a second gen that way....

^^ Correct. '94-'02 were the 3500 dually only years. Before and after the 2nd generation you could get SRW 1 tons.
