Default Random Misfire after changing plugs, wires, cap and rotor

Hey everyone,

So my truck started to run crappy out of no where and had random misfires on cylinders 1-4 and today I got to changing the plugs, wires, cap, and rotor. Started it up and no change at all.

I just got back from O'Reillys to run a diagnostic again and now it was still a misfire but on 1,2,3, and 6. It also still has a circuit high volt and heater circuit code on B152 but I am guessing this is due to a hollowed out cat.

Also there were three codes that the guy was not able to access.

Basically I am wondering what you all think I should do next, I am looking to work through the cheap fixes I can do myself because it will get scraped if it is a major problem

Thanks again!!!

Patrick

make sure you have the plug wires routed per the tsb, make sure that the rotor is fully seated down all the way and that the camshaft position sensor is good. download the FSM on here for free and it will tell you how to properly check those things.

Yes those codes are due to the hollowed cat. Have you done the non fouler mod yet?

About your misfire.. have you checked your injectors?

How do I check if the camshaft position sensor is good?

I can go back into it tomorrow and redo it to make sure everything is okay. This is the diagram I used for the wires

http://www.fixya.com/cars/t9347872-n...ng_spark_plugs

Also how do I download the FSM on here? And lastly no I have not checked the injectors but what should I do.

Sorry for all the questions, but I am really hoping I can fix this.

Thanks!

Oh yeah and I never did the nonfouler but figured it didn't matter since I never had a check engine light and the truck ran fine

Also no matter where I search I cannot find the TSB for rerouting the wires for my truck. I am not quite sure what I am doing wrong

Or it's on the 2nd page of DIY stuff. Sounds like you have wires mixed up. Doublecheck.

What's B152?

Make sure the rear O2 is plugged in good. It would whine about cat efficiency if it were just because of the hollowed out cat. You got something else going on there.

Make sure you have your firing order correct. #1 is marked on the cap, and rotation is clockwise. 1 8 4 3 6 5 7 2.
