My 2001 laramie has the heavy duty service group. I got new shocks put on front to back. My truck is now even worse than before. I think they are the wrong size. Does anyone know what size to put on?

 

Does it ride like a truck? What is it? 1500? 2500?? 3500?? What engine? Cab length? Bed length?

 

Took me 2 days from Chrysler Canada (use the "contact us" link top left of any Dodge/Chrysler Canada website) but that included a very quick reply from them asking for a full VIN because they couldn't find it with the abbreviated one, and then another very quick reply suggesting I take it directly from the vehicle instead of my records, which had a 7 in place of a T, as it turns out. I got a case number in the first reply so followups were very quick; build sheet was in my inbox a couple of hours after I finally gave them the right info.

One thing that could be a problem (not sure about the US, but definitely an issue with Chrysler Canada) is you have to be the vehicle owner on their records before you will get a build sheet. So if it's a used vehicle call customer care and get your name and contact info associated with the VIN. After that the build sheet is just an eMail away.

My build sheet indicated two recalls are outstanding.

We note that Recall Campaigns 875, Ignition Switch Wiring, and 7631,
Vapor Canister/Purge SOL, is outstanding on your vehicle. Please
contact your dealer to arrange completion of this service, at no charge
to you.
..."

Anyone know what the 7631 Vapor Canister/Purge SOL is all about?
