37's and 8 inch lift. need help
I]m knew to the world of dodges. I;m 16 and don't have much experience. I'm looking to put 37's on my truck with either a 7 or 8 inch lift. A 5 inch RC suspension lift and either a 2 or 3 inch body lift. Its pretty much all stock other than exhaust, headers and a ram air. Axles and gearing are both stock. Its got the 5.9. I tend to drive mostly on paved roads but when it rains I like going Muddin. I do drive in snow occasionally. What i looking for help with is do i need bigger axles if so what? What gearing would i need? I don't do much heavy hauling but i don't want to lose too much acceleration. Also do any of you guys had a rough country lift? how'd you like it, are the shock upgrades worth it? What kind of tires or what brand would you guys recommend? Thanks id appreciate all the help i can get.

7" and 37's look great. Um the axle thing is never agreed on but me personally if you spend most of your time on the road with a little mud here and there the stock axles will be fine. You'll want 4.88's to turn those 37's. For tires just find something that fits what you need.
Rough Country offers 5" kit @ $800.

I'm running about 7" of lift and 37x13.50's I think its about a perfect look, but I would recomend swaping out to 3/4 ton or SRW 1 ton axles, they can be found 4;11's witch should work ok with out extra work, but 4;88's be good too, I'm running 3;73's and its fine, but they are being pushed by a 600+ HP cummins, and if you go that high, better go with a long arm, otherwise it will ride rougher than hell,

Couple of things here. First is I have a 7" lift with short arm's and my truck rides just fine. Next would be 4.11- 4.56 will work just fine with 37's as well for a PP, 1500 diff's will also be fine for a PP. So where are you in BC pm me if you want to keep it under wrap, I am in Sicamous BC if you are close we can hook up and yap about this stuff. I have some spare 5" stuff just sitting here and some wheels, later on in May I will have all my 7" stuff up for sale as well.
Keep your eye's open on kijiji for 2500's for sale, it's cheaper to buy a whole truck than just the diff's these day's. Just a example of what I mean below and then you will have all the parts needed for the swap.
Edit: Not all 16 year old's beat the sh*t out of there trucks guys.
