Default 1995 Dodge ram 1500 PLEASE HELP! Vibration ?

Well here is the story, my name is Nick and reside in Canada. I like my truck "1995 Dodge Ram 1500 5.2L " very much but I am about to give up on it.

I have changed all U-jonts, replaced the transfer case, rebuilt the transmission with B&M internals, redone the shocks added 2in leveling kit up front and 4.5in blocks in the back mated to over loader shocks with springs

Now when I am in 2WD there is no vibration, but when the 4X4 in engaged in 4H or 4L, I get this mad vibration as tho the U-joints had never been fixed!.

Some mechanics are telling me its the front drive shaft others are telling me its the differential or the main pinion.

any advice?

thanks again.

SOunds like it could be a 4WD issue if it doesn't happen in 2WD that pretty much pin points where the issue is....I would try to look at all your front end assemblys as well drag links wheel hubs steering u joints even if it will have no effect on this just double check all of that stuff and crack open your 4WD assembly and inspect it mine did the same thing and all it turned out to be was one of my seals broke and it was a $20 part

Did you replace the joints in the double-cardan joint on the front driveshaft?

I will have to take it down again and have it seriously looked at.

do you mean the joint that has the little spring in the middle ?

all U-joints in the rear drive shaft have been done. all u-joints in the front drive shaft have been done including the ones that have the spring in the middle " double-cardan joint " just before it mates to the transfercase.

and the two front u-joint passenger and driver side are done aswell

all was done three days ago after the sound persisted i changed the transfercase... sound is still there

Slip joint is worn. Time to replace the shaft. That is too much slop there. I can imagine it vibrates pretty good......

No. You might be able to take it to a driveline shop, and get it replaced, but, there is no fix for those, aside from replacement. Best bet is just find a used shaft in decent condition at the yard. Before you install it, take it apart, clean it really well, grease the snot out of it, put it back together, and stick it in the truck. Would more than likely be cheaper than getting your repaired. (in fact, I would bet real money that replacement is cheaper than repair.)
