Default 95 rebuild/tune up

Hey guys its been a while sense I have been on. Since I got my 2011 cummins I have not been driving my 95 much but I am finally ready to start fixing/rebuilding it. I don't know if you guys remember last summer I dropped the rear drive shaft on the interstate and drove the yoke all the way up in to the transfer case well now it is leaking.I have a transmission pan leak. A rear main leak, and a timing chain cover leak. I have mopar R/T heads, hartland sharp rockers, and new lifters I also want to put a comp cam into the motor. But with having 91000 on the engine I am going to buy a new short block 360 and put everthing on that and swap engines. I am just going to start at the t-case and work my way froward to the engine. So I thought I could use this to ask you all questions and show pictures. So first question Where should I buy a transfer case rebuild kit? Also on the kits I have looked at there is two choices on the output shaft size. Does anyone know what size out trucks have? And I have seen where people put t-case savers in where do I get one?

Quad4x4 is a good place for t-case parts. You should have the 231D t-case, I think there was also a 231DHD... (heavy duty.) The HD unit had a wider chain, and some other cool tricks, but, I THINK the case was the same.

You want the 23 spline input.

T-case Saver.

I have been driving the truck the last few days. When I first start it up after a few mins idling it will get a sucking noise and the idle will get a bit rough them after a min or 2 it settles down and never does it again until it cools down. Do any of you guys have any ideas? I was thinking the IAC.

IAC, or failing pre-cat O2.

I have a new o2 in the box I will swap that and see if it helps. Did everyone just call redhead and buy their steering box or can you buy them from somewhere else?

I emailed them but I am also looking at a Borgeson box don't know which one I am going to go with. But if I go with the Borgeson it looks like I can not put a steering brace on. I did not realize my steering was as bad as it is until I got my new truck. I have to get it fixed I cant even keep it on the road.

Well I have decided to go with a Borgeson steering box and I also found a brace that will work with it. I have another question I have a 180 thermostat in my truck I am not getting much heat. I covered my rad with cardboard and it still is not heating up. When I get home from work about 12 miles I feel the top rad hose and it is hot but the bottom is still cold. What would be causing this? I have searched and come up with nothing.

Dodge off road makes a brave for the borgeson.

And make sure you have enough coolant.

A 180 will produce less heat because the engine is running cooler

Are you running a tune in your truck? If not, ditch the 180 stat.
