i went and took picks ... looked closer at it and the upper tranny line coming out of the radiator goes to a small cooler that i haven't notice before and has a hose clamp on the cooler end... so possibly someone already deleted the check valve... and bought a new tranny line with out the check vale and added the cooler... the tranny coolers tucked in between the radiator and the ac "cooler/radiator"?

The factory tranny cooler is in between the radiator and ac condenser. And the check valve is on the end of the rubber hose that comes out of the lower part of the radiator, right where it turns into a hard line. Post your pics.

That sounds like a factory tow package cooler setup the way you describe it, post a pic of your lines and we can tell if the complete check valve line was omitted.

The factory setup does not use hose clamps. So for some reason(probably leaking disconnects or blown line) the PO modified it to save money. And probably didn't even know the check valve existed.

I don't see a check valve in any of those pics. Maybe 94 doesn't have one, not sure on that. As far as the cooler goes, that is factory.
