I had to do a little more than tapping......but it came off - all 4 pieces. Contacts were pretty bad, so I had to change it.

be sure that when you install new one, you press it on all the way. Others have done this and not installed far enough. It craters rotor and cap!

Once you have the old rotor off, clean the shaft with Crocus cloth or emery cloth, then install the new rotor.
