Misfire number 8 after plenum fix
Any way to check se if its cracked?
It means that #8 is not firing. Do you have good spark at #8?
There are a couple of things - injector not functioning, hence no fuel. No spark, hence no fire. And then, no combustion - possibly because of carboned up valves or cracked head.
Swap injector with another cylinder to eliminate the injector itself. Use a noid light to determine if injuector is getting pulse.
Continue using Techron (available at any FLAPS) as zman suggested.
Do a leak down test.
Last resort, as you indicate you cannot pull head until summer, is to pull the head. But trying the other things first is less costly and may solve the problem.

Thanks for all the help guys really appreciated. But I do have good good spark checked it with the old screwdriver trick
I Really think its the injector tho because I unplugged the number 7 injector and the engine started to shake and idle weird, i did it to the number 8 and nothing changed. Weird tho how I am not noticing a change in performance I just drove the truck an hour upnorth with no issues.

Okay im bound and determined to fix this issue lol. Just ran seafoam through it got a smoother idle. Anyways I checked the injectors and they all checked out with the tester. Misfire still there tho shows up on computer and the code comes back after a long time driving or idle. Could this just a fluke in the computer? I really dont feel like the engine is missing at all. Puff of blue smoke went away as well
