ok new update. well The timing cover had a hair line crack behind the waterpump. and here is were it get intresting. I have never in my hole life seen a timing chain so lose. I still cant even think how the truck even started. I was able to take the chain off, with out removing the timing gears. And yes I replaced it will a comp cams timing kit with the 4 degree advace.
Now here is the new problem, When I removed the old timing cover the old gasket was soaked all the way around, and falling apart. Im just taking it as a gasket failure. I have replaced it feltpro gasket set. I ran out of time to finsh the job. had to wait till this weekend.
Next job, it 1500 to 2500 stearing link converstion.
followed by the wheel hubs, and breaks all around. errrr
