Starting Into New Speakers/Subs/Amps. Got Some Questions
#31
First put a Ohm meter on each of those subs and make sure they read 4ohms, make sure they aren't blown. Wire the subs to 2 ohm load.
The box looks to be missing terminal cups, not gonna find those at wally world. Try partsexpress.com, ebay, or local radio shop. Not gonna get much money for a used sub box, maybe $25 if lucky.
The 700w amp should be plenty of power for those subs, run the amp bridged(single channel mode) for maximum power output.
Edit: That's a 500w amp, 250 per channel, still be fine, manual says you still get 500w at 4ohm load bridged. 4ohm load be fine.

And amazon must be wrong dealing with this Kenwood amp cause it says 1000w and there's two different kinds:
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=a9_sc_1?...qid=1363969041
But alright, if mine is a 500w amp, that'll be good then since my subs are only 150 apiece. How'd you find out mine was a 500w amp? Amazon must have all the wrong info or something now adays. Thanks for the manual though.

The amp is 1000w peak
and 500w RMS
If you look at the link to the Kenwood manual I posted, or the Amazon link you provided, it says in the specifications it's a 500w amplifier.
It will still power those P1's just fine.

Get yourself a 4guage or 8 guage (smaller wire) amp wiring kit.

+1 on the cap. You won't need a cap on your truck unless your running 2,000 watt or above. Those caps are made far little tiny chick mobiles with garbage alternators. I was running a 900 watt ken wood amp, 500wat power inverter and charging my laptop all at the same time while idling. Now I am running a big boy system and am running a cap cause I may end up running two audio systems. One for the cab and one for the bed. Both 2000 watt.

Alright thanks for the input guys. I went to walmart and got an 8 guage amp wiring kit for 26 bucks.

It comes with everything so now all I need to do is install everything. Custom box comes today too! Some weekend it gets warmer I'll start on it.

Custom box came today. I test fit them p1 subs i have and they didn't perfectly fit. Both of the mounting depth is 5.25 so that's probably why.
My buddy said he'll make spacers so they will fit though. Either this weekend or next I'll have it all in my truck hopefully. I'll update everyone with pictures when it gets done.
