Not on a 99, at least my doesn't. Nevermind didn't see it was 2000 and 2001 it works.

btw this is an awesome trick. Does it show any and all codes that would normally show up with a scanner? (eg. emission, engine, transmision, etc..)

Call around a good shop will do a free ride diagnosis, check pressures etc...
I don't really understand what you mean. If your in OD cruising 50 mph and you kick it down,, it won't downshift? But it upshifts through all the gears at moderate acceleration just fine?

Exactly other than it does downshift from 4-3 perfectly too. It is just the 3-2 downshift that redlines. As an example at 50mph and a light acceleration it will downshift from 4-3 but with further acceleration, after the 4-3 shift, where I would expect it to go from 3-2 it goes from 3 and redlines-slips.

Yeah, unfortunately it doesn't work on 98's at all, and some 99's, one of them being your's.

These transmissions are known for strange behavior at WOT...... governor pressure sensor gets saturated..... and PCM gets wrong readings. Not sure if there is a fix for it...
