Nope, I made sure not to remove or alter the distributor in any way shape or form. Do you think maybe the timing chain has stretched and needs replaced?
As stated, got to fix the bad gasket first. I'm wondering if the other intake gasket(s) are not screwed up too. Did you use new bolts for the intake ? If so cut the head off a couple of the old ones and screw them in some to use as guides to seat the intake. And I see no mention of anything being done about the lower intake gasket and plate? (other than you rebuilt the top end).
I did change the plenum gasket with a felpro one. I did not use new bolts for the intake manifold but when I take it back off (tomorrow) I will buy new hardware to use. Since the gaskets have only been on for a day can I re-use them or should I just get new ones?
New!!!! Lol Just so you know(if you don't already), on the front and rear rubber gaskets there are little **** for the lack of a better word. You need to clean out the holes on top of the block so they will fit into said holes.
