WOW! When used to working on vehicles in New York State, that's clean!! Seeing components that completely rust free is something you will ONLY EVER see on a BRAND NEW vehicle.

Pretty dry in west Texas.....rust is not a problem that we have to deal with.

You might need to adjust the TV cable, in the 2001 FSM page 2233 it shows how to do this. Check for binding in the cable as well. So this was all discon when you bought the truck?

No reason for this new thread as far as I'm concerned. The original one posted has this info in it also. SO, I'm going to merge this one into the original thread as my first act as a new moderator. I hope I do it right.

OK sorry ZMAN but my problem now is, whining in park, kind of feels like tranny is spinning on the floor board, and when I drive it, it is shifting at about 3000 rpms. My throttle body, and kickdown lever are moving at the same exact time. I checked fluid, its perfect, not burnt and still red. WTF is going on? With the tv cable disconnected there is no whining, with it connected it whines when revved. Please someone tell me whats going on.

TV cable is operating throttle valve - when it should not be.
