So the issue came up again. I decided today while it was still somewhat nice out, to go outside and pull the O2 sensor. It's supposed to be pretty cool tomorrow morning so I will know in the morning on my way to work if it fixed it or not. Since it needs replaced anyways will it do harm in deleting the cat? I've read a couple of post on here about the issue and it seems like everyone is split on the issue. Some say yes, some say not to. Also if it will be fine, what is the best way to delete it? Hollow it out or replace with straight pipe? When I was down there I noticed that the two down pipes meet at the cat and there isn't a collector. Thanks in advance.

Deleting the cat huh?

Depends on where you live. Do you have local emissions testing or inspections that require a catalytic converter?

Regardless of yes or no the Feds require you to have one (but who listens to the Feds?)

If you want to remove it best way is to completely cut it out, replace with pipe. Sell it to sellyourcatsdirection.com, they usually go for around $75.

Do the non fouler trick for the rear O2 sensor and you won't get any pesky CELs...

Not I

How do I go about joining the 2 down pipes? Do I have to make a collector or is there one already that will work?

Plan on it.

Something like this would work

A little pricey just to remove the cat.

Really should just need a Y to connect the 2 into 1...

Still had the rumble this morning. After it warmed up I noticed it ran a little better though.

Okay something new now. So when I take off and it's cold when shifting from 1st to 2nd or letting off the gas to coast like leaving my parking lot, it feels like driving over rumble strips. After it warms up it goes away. However even after it warms up it shifts fine except when I'm in OD and go to give it gas it acts kind of like a misfire and drops rpms to around 1000. If I put it in neutral it revs just fine though. I can't tell if it is a tranny problem, electrical problem, or something else. Thanks again.

Does it rumble just sitting there, or, does it have to be moving?

Is this with the 02 removed? If so cat is clogged most likely(replace it with pipe yet?) , and needs a good o2 back in it.

Has to be moving for the shudder/rumble feeling. It does it with the o2 in and out. Revs fine and smooth in neutral even while moving. Only in drive does it do it.
