So to sum up. Coil springs will work. Leaf springs in the rear needs extensive modification

If you know someone who is good with a welder it really wouldnt take long to do the leafs.. Just gotta have the hangers from the 3/4 to weld onto the frame of your truck... Coil springs up front arent to difficult neither..

I got a set out of an '05, works fine and feels great. I also threw the shocks in the rear from the '05. Both fit no problem and as far as everything I read, cummins springs fit no problem as well.

Did it to mine, I needed to weld the brackets off the frame of the donor truck onto my 1500 chassis to accommodate the wider springs. Click the link on my signature and scroll down to when I'm working on the rear end. There's an image of both rear end assemblies (springs and all) right next to each other and you can see the difference.

Default 2500 springs

I just changed over to 2500 springs and shocks this weekend. My wheel height before was 38", and is now just over 39". I was hoping for the even 40" level, but didn't get it. I did notice that the new 2500 springs were the same height as my 1500 side by side, but the coils were thicker and there was one additional. I am not thinking about adding my 2" spacers to get to that 3" number.

Has anyone else put 3" and can confirm the stock parts all still work?

I didn't have to use spring compressors at all for taking out or putting in. I just disconnected the sway bar links, and it was good to go. Does anyone have any ides why springs were the same height, and I only pulled 1 " raise?

On another note, the ride is stiffer, and I love it. I have a slight clunk on the passenger side when I tested off road. Anyone have a suggestion? I don't see anything loose at all, but have not fully dug in.

Thanks all.
