I haven't been able to try to leave key in in position yet. Found site today while at work. Haven't been home yet. I do know that once it does start it will start every time after that. It's only when it sits all day or all night that it won't start.

Weather make any difference?

Check Engine Lite should come on when you first turn the key. If it doesn't, you have an issue.

Yes the CEL comes on when you turn the key switch on. I just meant i have no codes.

Well the truck fired right up this afternoon. Since then I have stopped and started the truck several times throughout the evening and it seemed like every time it was a little different. Sometimes it starts right up on all six cylinders, sometimes takes about 3 seconds of cranking then it starts on maybe 4 cylinders and runs on 4 for about 20 seconds then all 6 cylinders kick in. A couple times I had to crank it maybe 10 to 15 seconds before it would start on what seemed like one cylinder at a time. Each cylinder would gradually kick every couple seconds until it was running on all cylinders.

It's a 2001 dodge 1500 3.9. Fuel pressure is 52psi with the new pump.

Is it possible for a camshaft sensor to not work sometimes and or the same with the crankshaft sensor?

Anything is possible....

Check spark at coil, make sure it is consistent. If it isn't, replace crank sensor.
