Default trans temp and o/d lights on, trans temp is cold?

so, my problem. ive burnt 3 trannys, found the check valve bad, took it out on the last one i put in, theres an auxillary trans cooler, everythings flowing good, lots of fluid pressure, fluids at the right level, and after 5 minutes of driving, sometimes a mile down the road, my o/d kicks off, and trans temp comes on, my last trans did this sometimes but mostly after a couple hours which it probably was hot, i hooked a scanner up to it, the temp sensor read 284 degrees ferenheit which is not possible after 5 minutes of driving, there wasn't any codes, i checked the sensor wire for resistance and theres none, its a 1998 ram 1500 4x4 and the trans is out of a 2001 ram 1500 4x4, the only difference i was told by the local shop was that the sensors are in different locations, but the wiring is the same. i'm trying a different pcm once i can get ahold of it, but any ideas on what else it could be incase the pcm doesn't change it? i can pull the dipstick out when the light comes on and the fluid is still cold, after 30 minutes of driving and idling the fluid was barely warm. not remotely close to 284 degrees. any help is greatly appreciated im trying not to drive the truck but it is my daily driver and i do have to go to work, fuel isn't cheap at 2200 rpm doing 90 km/h lol thanks!

Make sure the 8 pin connector on the drivers side of the trans is plugged in tight.

I am not certain, but I believe the solenoids may have had a change to the connector inside the case. If that is true, the tranny shop was close, but no cigar! May need to do a visual to be certain.

Actually it's the pressure sensor(transducer) , not the gov solenoid that's different(which is the reason the mounting bracket need's to be changed, and gov body needs to come off). AND the TCC/OD solenoid assembly needs replace also. It's the 8 pin connector, but not because it's loose.

About a minute and 50 seconds into this video you will see the difference in gov/solenoid assembly 1998 and 2001, go to post 103 and play. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen...nstall-11.html
