Probably just rusted in place. Some folks have had success putting a bolt partially back in, putting a socket and extension on it, bracing it against something that doesn't move, and using the power steering to pop it loose. Don't pound on the broken off bolt, all you will accomplish is expanding it, so that it acts like a rivet.....

Clean it good and make sure you give it a liberal coating of anti seize before reassembly.

Oiiiiiiiiiii be nice !!!!!!.. all aside vermont uses far to much salt. and thats the side effect my 2001 Ranger was worse when i got it.

U-joint and one ball joint changed.. She turns like a dream.. those are on a stock front end... no rub . i had to take my other 1 ton coil out and put the 1/2's back in as the parts store can't seem to order a 1 ton coil without screwing it up
