Default 96 ram 5.9l no spark won't start. Help :(

I have a 96 ram 5.9l I had the age old crank sensor problem. Finally got up the nerve to replace it yesterday.
Bam started right up, ran beautiful yesterday. Started it up again last night.

Today, I'm about to go to a fellow Marines house that passed away last year and the truck won't start. Just cranks and cranks and cranks. I had a brand new coil sitting in my truck so I installed that, still no start. Check the coil for power and there is no spark coming from it.

I am seriously on the verge of selling this truck because its just becoming to much of a hassle for me.

I'm open to answering questions and trying stuff with it.

This all started when it died the first time about 2 days after I did a tune up on it, I think the new spark plugs were just to much for it or something idk.

Truck has 150k on it, no chip, pretty much stock engine except cold air intake.

Anyone have any clue? I don't want to have to replace that damn crank sensor again. I'd rather die.

Check the connector to the small wiring on the coil. If this comes unplugged or gets loose, it will not fire.

On the CPS, what brand did you use? Some are slightly longer and will be rubbing on flexplate, causing damage, therefore failure. Of course if it is the problem, it will be worn down. Downside is the only way to tell for sure is to risk mangling your hands again pulling it back out. Also double check the ground on the back of the passenger head to firewall. Tis can keep the PCM from being well grounded.

only brands that work, and work well are standard motors products, delphi, and dealer(oem).

just went through this myself. bought a bwd from advance, and it was bad out of the box.

Don't do that! These trucks seem to be pretty sensitive about the grounding thing. Just hope it is that simple to fix!
